      To his credit he did go for a play style with mp40 grens and repaid build Wirberlwind that is now off-meta. This used to be an on-meta strat prior to the mp40 and Wirberlwind nerfs. I feel like I survive now with Wehrmacht because of the mg42 and ket combo, but I'm noticing the majority of top 50 Wehrmacht players go for early mass Grenadiers and only get an mg42 in the mid/late game. I'll start playing some Wehrmacht again! Stug life! :D

    What is the standard DAK response for the Chaffee death ball? I am always a bit confused at how to deal with US LV/armor

      Best response is go Espionage doctrine and make sure you pick 'Anti-Tank Incendiary Munitions'. Get 2 anti-tank guns and support with Panzer Grenadiers and Jaegars. The PG AT snare nades will destroy them if and AT gun shoots at the same time. Also I still make 1 8rad and 1 flak HT. Always have your AT follow your vehicles, so if they attack with a Chaffee death ball you reverse into your AT line.

    Think the call for the recovery vehicle wasn't wrong, butthe timing to start recovering was off. As you said yourself during the game; he was buildin up for the next wave just then. Really fun game!

    Are Wehr 8 Rad and Dak 8 Rad same? I feel like Dak one is far more effective.

      They are the same at base unit. The DAK one is stronger though once you factor in health upgrades from the Armoury with 'Vehicle Survival Package' and 'Emergency Repair Kits'. You also get a attack buff on the 8rad and you go Armour Support BG and select the 'Superior Fire Drills' option.

    At some point you say, in the beginning, that he is going armor and not deviating from meta (jeep/scots/etc). The next moment you say that you will go 8rad + gusta because they are very strong against infantary. Isnt there a missmatch? Love your content, keep at it!! <3

      Definitely a recognized mismatched, but I'm not going to make anything stop my off meta play :P I went into this game with Guastatori in mind so wanted to follow through regardless of what he made, but make adjustments accordingly. In this game that adjustment was refusal to tech to T3 for P3s, because if I did this he would simply out mass me and over run my first P3. I should of got down a teller down though with my Guastatori. If I didn't get Guastatori, this video it would of been called Rage Against the Allied War Machine for not incorporating the unit that I aimed for. Say no to living in CoH meta fear! :D

    I'd love to see a 250 upgrade with guastatori. The 250 can heal them on the move (with vet 1), while also giving high mobility. While the Guastatori can repair. Tried it myself to great success, but My Elo isn't high enough for this data point to be relevant ..

    Why did you not go to t4 and built p3 or call in tanks? You had way enough fuel Also: gustatoris did not have double Flamethrower due to the bar you picked up. They can only have 2 weapons. That made them a bit weaker

      If I went for Panzer 3's here I'd be dead. That first P3 is basically the cost of 3 x Chaffees when you factor in War Machine and the cost of the tech structure. That is a dead P3, I'd rather have 1 x 8rad, 1 x Marader, 1 x Jaegar/ATG. Also watch this game EP#21, where I explain that I lost because I teched to T3 verse someone who did not tech. Link: ruclips.net/video/LsCajY6B4lA/видео.html At present, the two strategies that I'd regard to easy to perform and consistently win is LV based strats when combined with key abilities. Basically, Greyhound and Chaffee spam with Seek and Destroy, and 8rad spam with Mechanized Assault. I don't like how it's viable to spam 4-6 of these units, pop an ability and decimate the opponent that teched. Especially with how this patch made LVs significantly easier to micro and more responsive to attack move around the map. There is next to no micro burden. Hopefully we will see a cooldown increase on 8rads call in, Seek and Destroy and Mechanized Assault. I honestly feel Seek and Destroy and Mechanized Assault need a rework though. Seek and Destroy target a single vehicle (CoH2 style) and Mechanized Assault (no repair if in combat) would be my starting point suggestions.

      I'm really liking this patch for the most part! I feel the only thing irritating me is the LV based strats when combined with key abilities. Basically, Greyhound and Chaffee spam with Seek and Destroy, and 8rad spam with Mechanized Assault. It shouldn't be viable to spam 5-6 of these units, pop an ability and decimate the opponent that teched.

      I will play some 2v2 and 4v4 in the future! The reason why it's been heaps of 1v1s lately is due to the 1.7 Onyx Shark patch bringing in some significant balance changes. I find the best way to learn and understand a new patch is in 1v1, since all variables are within my control. In team games, it can be harder to reflect on games. I understand the game very well now, heaps of off-meta testing with all factions so 2v2 and 4v4 will be on the horizon :)

      Vehicles or indirect fire is the best counter. A well positioned M8 Greyhound or Stuart. Guastatori have the highest infantry armour value in the game of 1.5, so small arms fire barely hits them. Unless you've got 3 well space Riflemen you won't win a short term engagement verse them.

      I've only got one game with USF vs DAK in the 1.7.X patches, which is EP8. I've had a good few weeks playing DAK/UKF, but I'll be returning to USF/WEHR.     I feel like espionage battlegroup as DAK works pretty good for a PG centered build; with plunder for the extra MG and with the improved AT-nade they can really shine. If you can pull off nice ambushes that's a bonus.

      Espionage battlegroup is great and you are right it lets Panzer Grenadiers really shine! I think it's the battlegroup which offers the greatest strategic diversity as well.

      I feel DAK can be perceived as weak at times because I think it's the most punishing faction if you make a micromanagement or strategic error. If DAK is played well I find it very strong as well! Glad to hear you're enjoying the casts! :)

    Very impressive cutoff play! Your positioning turned the double AT gun buy from an asset into a failed investment. You basically guaranteed that the rifles were always taking bad engagements.

      I think it can go either way, but generally speaking like you say Greyhound and Chaffee is better as you can dictate the play but ATGs at times require the opponent to make a mistake to secure kills. If he got the first AT volley on the flak I would of been in a tricky scenario dealing with Riflemen with limited suppression from the MG34

    13:50 Getting Vet 1 and Field Supply is always fun: Squads near the vehicle gain combat bonuses and retain the benefit for a short period of time after leaving the aura. +20% speed, +20% rate of fire, and +20% accuracy on affected units. Lasts for 45 seconds after leaving the aura.

      It is often "bugged" coz it cancels out when you move med truck, while in range of it or when you enter a fight when near med truck. Also it does not scale with combined arms, when sections can scale with vet1, TC upgrade (more stats buffs than CA), stuart command aura + abilities from BG. In old updates it even was able to cancel out CA. Nowadays probably CA always works, but Field Supply probably still does not stack, coz speed buff does not work when CA is active. I am to lazy to test fire rate again.

      Yeah I really like the medical truck vet1 ability. I think it's balanced that it debuffs if the med truck moves. It gives the Allies player a reason to force it to move, especially with how the buff last for a long 45 seconds and offers infantry and support weapons so much strength and speed.

      @@StephennJF Lots of things is a bit of jank, the speed buff doesn't stack with CA but it got other buff and also buff Italian troops and I believe your allies troops. You get to keep the buff if you get out of the circle. It's really nice in team games because it helps get your troops back in the fight from a forward healing position and even get some speed to flank but its also a tad odd to put them into danger to get vet in the first place since it doesn't give combine arms nor does it heal. Use it for combat reinforcement? At least it not something dumb like losing your First Strike on the Hellcat if the MG fires. As if its not already hard enough to get that to work.

    Solid play there! 8rads would probably work great like you said and would also get you to 2cp faster for the Guasta. The arty piece feels excessive for a 1v1 from both a manpower and fuel standpoint, when Leig seems so cost effective. Still interested to see if you could make it work though!

      Yeah that's another benefit that I didn't consider either the potential to get 2 CPs faster or even an early registered arty, for example if I lockdown his 10+ fuel or cut off I can really lock it down for a long time.

      Indeed! Lessons learned and reflecting on this game I've thought of a new strategy to try! I'm going to try 250HT early, get it to vet1 and use that as my only healing until I can get 6CPs, call in a howi and then get howi/med truck to avoid a double up on trucks.

    5:55 You have to be careful harassing SMG sappers they will do more damage then you would think accuracy is multiplied by target size in the case of the Krad it's 6, RE has a accuracy of 19.8% at the max range and they 2X their bullet count by range 15 and 6X their bullet at range 7. All bullets will score a hit (19.8x6=118.8) and will roll against the armor which is 3 on the (1/3=33.33%), scoring a pen does 4 damage per model with RE. Running a dingo or a Jeep into a squad of Gren and Sapper is a good way to get it killed. Flamers also always hit light vehicle and seem to do 4-6 damage. I been screwing around with Assault Engineers felt like trying a Totally-Fair™ build order in 4s of 2AE, 2RM, and using the AE build cheap 2-3 cheap Mortar Pit (100MP, 70 Munitions) each. The plan was to add 1-2 Rifleman at some point before BARs. The thinking was to keep the 2 AE together as a CQC squad similar to rangers but I also wanted to see how well flamers would do behind green cover as an alternative. They turn out to be really powerful about as strong as a mainline unit with a weapon upgrade but I also found out it had extra range, up to 5-10 extra range and you can take advantage of it you attack ground it does good damage at +6 or +7 but falls off after that. So despite attacking at 20 range you can actually get 25-30 range with flamers,if you attack ground but you have to eyeball 20 which is 71.42% of the radius of the white circle. This seem pretty huge consider that the effective range of most mainlines and AE with flamers only cost 200MP and 40 Munitions. I think you could have gotten a cheeky shot off at 14:55, I also think it might be useful against HMGs and you can even attack ground from smoke. I also wonder if using the smoke to give the Gustatori sprint would be worth it, the buff is 50% speed, -30 suppression, and -30% to hit( also give a bit of suppression protection). Mortar Pits also has 100 range instead of the usual 90, I wonder if it would be good on Pachino Stalemate.

      Sounds like a good USF strat to try, especially on Pachino! Yeah definitely was worth me using smoke in that scenario. Attack ground in smoke is so powerful with the Guastatori and you can make a quick getaway if needed. I've started to incorporate this more into my play. I think this was one of the first games I went for this style of play in Onyx Shark. It's definitely fun! :)

      @@Ogema-1 Always worth doing since the barrage and smoke are on separate cooldowns. Even if a single smoke is fired, then it's switched back to auto attack or barrage can be used.

      Haha me too. The sound of Teller going off brings sweet joy to Axis ears and fear for the Allies. It was why I got excited when he made a flamer engineer so no sweepers, but I quickly realised it was infantry spams.
